Introducing Mel Taylor who is a successful Melville (yes Mel in Melville:-) ) makeup and hairstylist in Johannesburg. Mel has been a stylist for 15 years specialising in weddings, makeovers and colouring, cutting and styling.
Mel’s passion is definitely weddings. Nothing gives her more pleasure than to see the bride on her special day when the final ensemble comes together in her look! What Mel provides is a calm, professional service, with a trial in place before the big day she assesses the hair and makeup too so that she can perfect your look for the big day.
Mel does have an assistant for bridal parties over 6 ladies (for hair and make-up).
In case you were wondering what Mel’s background is? She started in hair when she was 17 and did her apprenticeship for 2 years in Johannesburg, Mel then was privileged enough to work in London for 3 years with Simon Warwick Salon in central London where she owes all the credit for her expertise and finesse in styling. Mel then traveled back to Johannesburg and worked for Fugo salon in Parkhurst Johannesburg for 7 years. Finally, she decided to open her bespoke makeup and hair studio in Melville shortly after. Mel has been thriving for 5 years making all brides happy and satisfied including her loyal clientele of 12 years
